President’s Message | October 2024
My Dear Readers,
As the vibrant month of October sets in, I extend warm greetings to you and your families. The festive spirit fills the air, and it is indeed a season of celebration, both in our professional and personal lives. This month, I would like to take this opportunity to share some exciting updates from the association.
Building a Strong Foundation: The Role of KSCAA Committees
I wish to share that we have crossed 4.000 memberships this month. The KSCAA has always been at the forefront of ensuring that our members receive comprehensive support in all aspects of their professional journey. This year, I am pleased to inform you that we have successfully formed various subcommittees that will work tirelessly to address the diverse needs of our members. With a strong core team of 150 dedicated members, these committees will be your pillars of support, ensuring that the KSCAA remains your trusted partner.
- AI & Technology Initiative Committee:
As technology continues to shape the future of our profession, this committee will explore ways to integrate cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), into our practices. From automating mundane tasks to improving efficiency in audits, we are committed to keeping our members at the forefront of innovation.
- Direct Tax Committee & Indirect Tax Committee:
These committees will delve into the latest updates and changes in the realm of taxation, providing you with expert insights and timely guidance on direct and indirect tax matters.
- Corporate & Allied Law Committee:
This committee will support our members in navigating the complexities of corporate law, ensuring that you are equipped to advise clients on the latest legal developments.
- Representation Committee:
A critical committee that will focus on representing our members’ interests before various governmental authorities, advocating for policies that benefit the profession.
- Co-operative Society, NPO & Mofussil Area Community:
This committee will serve the often-overlooked sectors of cooperative societies, not-for profits, and members practicing in mofussil areas, ensuring that no one is left behind. In addition to these front-line committees, we also have other key teams that will play an integral role in enhancing member engagement and fostering a sense of community:
- Media & Public Relations Committee & Membership Committee:
These committees will work in tandem to strengthen the association’s visibility and grow our membership base, ensuring that our collective voice is heard far and wide.
- Sports & Cultural Committee & Leadership & Skill Development Committee:
More than just professional networks, these committees provide opportunities for members to bond beyond the workplace, fostering lifelong friendships through sports, cultural events, leadership workshops, and skill development initiatives.
A Unified Vision: Service to Members
As we embark on this new journey, I am immensely proud of the strong core team that is dedicated to serving you. Whether you need guidance on the professional front or support in personal growth, our team will be there for you. We are also working on ensuring that our members have access to the resources they need through our enhanced website functionality. You can now submit requests for specific programs and topics that interest you, and we will endeavor to organize sessions that cater to the needs of our larger community. This is an important step towards fostering a member-driven approach and ensuring that KSCAA is responsive to your evolving needs.
Upcoming Knowledge Sessions
To continue igniting your knowledge capsule, we have lined up some insightful programs this month. Stay tuned for updates on topics that will help you sharpen your skills and broaden your expertise. These programs are designed to address the evolving needs of our profession, and we encourage all members to actively participate.
As we take a breath on concluding the tax audit and approach the festive of light Diwali, I wish each of you joy, peace, prosperity and this festival bring light and happiness into your homes and lives. Let’s also use this time to reflect, recharge and return to our work with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
In conclusion, I would like to remind you that the KSCAA is here for you-always. We are committed to serving your professional and personal growth and building a strong, united community of Chartered Accountants. Let us continue to work together, grow together, and celebrate our collective achievements.
